Gained my Graduate Diploma from Toronto Art Therapy Institute (TATI) and worked with individuals who had severe mental health issues, Autism, ADHD, Developmentally Delayed individuals, eating disorders, dissociative disorders, homelessness and substance abuse to gain experience, supporting individuals in both clinical and community settings. I am certified Humour Practitioner and certified Laughter Leader. Let’s be honest. Therapy is messy and not pleasant at all. I combine evidenced-based psychotherapy with expressive power of the arts as well as humour and laughter. Humour and laughter is part of my process, not to minimize pain or mask emotions, but to offer a breathing room. Sometimes a well-timed and therapeutic humour or laughter is the crack in the wall where the light gets in.
What Is Art Therapy?
Art Therapy is a form of psychotherapy. It is a clinically supported and a creative process that helps you explore feelings, reduce stress and gain insights through artistic expression. You do not need to be ‘good at art’ (whatever it means). In fact, messy art is an honest art and it never judges back.
In art therapy, I do not teach artistic skills or even care about it. I just use the art to help you explore your emotions and to know yourself.

This is an example of an artwork done in a therapy session. Artworks in art therapy sessions are not artistically executed.
What’s Psychotherapy Doing Here?
Psychotherapy is the classic heart-to-heart talk, but in this case, it is blended with creative tools to dig into the challenges.
We work together to understand patterns, build resilience and sneak up on healing.
Sometimes we talk. Sometimes we draw. Sometimes we do both. Sometimes the art does all the talking.

What Are the Benefits of Art Therapy?
Besides being scientifically proven to support mental health, art therapy can:
- Reduce anxiety and depression symptoms
- Improve focus and self-regulation (helpful for ADHD and Autism)
- Help process trauma or grief without reliving every detail
- Support chronic illness and pain management through creative coping
Are There any Risks in Art Therapy?
Let’s be honest! Self-discovery can be messy. Art Therapy may stir up big emotions or memories. That is why I am here to guide the process, so, you are not overwhelmed by them.
